"Pressure! Makes! Diamonds!" - Ms. Hashima
Ms. Hashima (first name unknown) is Bridgette Hashima's mother, who first appeared in "Clap Like This". She seems to be a wealthy Asian woman.
She is voiced by Suzy Nakamura.
Appearance
Ms. Hashima is a middle-aged Japanese woman with short black hair in a pixie cut. She wears gold orb earring studs, a matching gold pearl necklace, and a white fur coat.
Personality
Bridgette's mother appears to be a driven and stern business woman.
When Bridgette turned twenty six Ms. Hashima cut her off financially, which was tradition in their family, so she could learn how to be independent. At the end of the episode after Bridgette proudly shows her mother her first paycheck, she’s horrified to see how little she makes and declares her no longer cut off (Bridgette ends the episode telling her to give her half what she usually gives her).
In order to make her daughters more driven to succeed, she (unbeknownst to them until "Bridgette the Brain") would pit Bridgette and Olivia against each other for her approval, chastising Bridgette for not being as smart as Olivia, and Olivia for not being popular and cool like Bridgette, making them think they were living in the shadow of the other and would constantly try to outdo the other, which she also encouraged. She was even shown joking with Olivia in ear shot of Bridgette over her lack of intelligence, and she scoffed at Emily's suggestion to not be as hard on them saying millennial parents always praise mediocrity. After Bridgette and Olivia discovered she equally chastised them she didn’t seem to think she did anything wrong as they both became successful, only admitting it was nice to see the two of them get along.

Trivia
- Like her daughter, Ms. Hashima is voiced by an actress of Japanese descent - in this case, Suzy Nakamura.
- Ms. Hashima is the benefactor of Bridgette's trust fund, which means that the latter's performance as a social influencer is less than satisfactory, despite her knowing a lot about the industry.
- It's unknown whether Ms. Hashima is single or divorced due to her title so it's reasonable to say that her daughters might be born out of wedlock and fathered by different men.
- Confusingly, Bridgette's trust fund is of a substantial quantity, but she still splits the rent on an apartment with three other people.
- Bridgette does, however, splurge on herself with lavish hotel visits.
